Operating utility-scale assets such as solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage, and wind means navigating a growing number of regulatory standards, including the North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s (NERC) Inverter-Based Resources (IBR) as directed by FERC Order 901. These standards require compliance and can result in negative consequences if not followed.
