Date
Monday, November 16, 2026
Time
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Description

This session will explore how renewable energy project developers are moving beyond simply generating clean electricity to create meaningful, lasting benefits for locla communities. With increasing frequency, communities are seeking a wider array of benefits from renewable energy projects, and developers are adapting by forming innovative partnerships. Panelists will share examples of how they have embedded a community-focused approach into their development model and how they used Community Benefits Agreements (CBAs)/plans to both win initial community support and sustain engagement. Attendees will explore the use of CBAs and leave with a plan to map out engagement and deliverables between a developer and a host community over a longer-term phase out of the project's life.

This session is part of the Land Use and Community Engagement Deep Dive: The Deep Dive kicks off at 9:00 am with "Inside the Coalition Playbook: How to Win New Clean Energy Allies". Join for either both sessions!
