Anna Weitz is a clean energy engineer at NC State University's NC Clean Energy Technology Center, where she provides technical assistance and outreach for a range of grant-funded programs. Anna has been working with local governments and communities in North and South Carolina to provide education and technical assistance on renewable energy siting and permitting through the Carolinas Development Assistance and Siting Hub (C-DASH) program for the past year. Anna brings a diverse background to her role, with experience spanning engineering, education, and solar energy performance. She earned her degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton, served as a high school math teacher in Halifax County through Teach For America, and later worked as a performance engineer evaluating utility-scale solar fleet operations. Her multidisciplinary expertise informs her community-centered approach to advancing clean energy solutions across the Carolinas.
