City of Savannah, Georgia
Nylah Oliver is the Sustainability Director for the City of Savannah, where she leads the City's efforts to advance clean energy and implement the 100% Savannah Plan, a roadmap to achieve 100% renewable energy. She brings nearly a decade of experience driving sustainability and social impact strategy across the public and private sectors.

She previously served as Head of Social Responsibility and Environmental, Social, and Governance at The Promise Homes Company. There, she led cross- functional sustainability and social impact initiatives across a 600-unit housing portfolio, driving energy conservation efforts and vendor diversity programs, resulting in $7 million in MWBE spending. Nylah also held prior roles at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), United Parcel Service (UPS), the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Wells Fargo, where she advanced stakeholder engagement, supplier diversity, and corporate responsibility reporting on an international scale.

Nylah holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Urban Planning and Economic Development from Georgia State University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Georgia.

Mary Jo Press is Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America’s Chief Safety Officer and Director of Environmental Health & Safety. Mary Jo joined HMGMA in August 2023 and has more than four decades of experience in the Environmental Health and Safety field. Prior to HMGMA, she previously worked in management for Tesla and other manufacturers. Mary Jo serves as the Chairperson of the Sustainability Management Association. Press also was an adjunct faculty member at a community college in North Carolina for more than a decade. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Safety & Health from Columbia Southern University. Mary Jo has received numerous awards including ASSP Chapter Safety Professional of the Year, Environmental Excellence Award, Environmental Foundation Builder and Environmental Leader 50 Award. She grew up on a farm and is proud to say she still lives a self-sufficient lifestyle on her small spread in rural Georgia.
